Lambi Newsham - Summit, NJ

Lambi Newsham

It's been a pleasure to serve on the National Board since 2012.  I am the founder of the Summit, New Jersey chapter and served as President for four years.

Prior to my work with the Christ Child Society I held board positions with the Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School PTO, Summit Performing Arts Resource Committee and Summit Education Foundation.  I worked on Capitol Hill in media production and event planning.

The Summit chapter reaches out to provide aid and supplies to at-risk children.  The primary volunteer efforts include fundraising through an annual rummage sale, the assembly and delivery of layettes to newborns in need at local hospitals such as Overlook and Morristown and an annual School Supplies Drive that provides essential supplies for elementary, middle and high school children in Summit.

Having raised three healthy children in Summit, I felt committed to helping babies and children in the community to get the basic needs to grow and thrive.

I am honored to continue working on the National Board and look forward to working with fellow Christ Child volunteers in town and throughout the country.
