Christ Child Society Prayer

Remember in this sacrifice of Your own and only Child,
all children everywhere throughout the world,
and grant that, like Your Son,
as they increase in years,
they may grow in grace and wisdom before You,
and in the sight of all,
for the improvement and saving of the world.
Jesus, the Friend of little children,
bless the little children of the world.  Amen

The Christ Child is the focal point in the window installed in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington, DC, by the National Christ Child Society.  The stained-glass window is a memorial to Mary Virginia Merrick, foundress of the Christ Child Society in 1887.  Installation of the window memorialized the 100th Anniversary of her birth.
